Create a new project (1920px by 1080px, 72 dpi) and fill the background layer with a color you like (I chose #f2b338). You can also use a gradient.
Then, add some inspirational text or a quote. Use the font Big Noodle Titling which you can download for free here. Change the size to 350px and the color to white.
Add a slim white rectangle under your text.
Duplicate the text layer and move it about 15px to the right of the original text. Change the color to #c31b17. What does all the magic is the blending mode. Change the blending mode of the duplicated text to Exclusion to obtain this effect.
Duplicate the rectangle and move it 6px to the right and about 4px up from the position of the original rectangle. Once again, change the color to #c31b17 and the blending mode to Exclusion.
Just under your rectangle, add some other text (create. edit. delete. learn. start again.) with the same font. Change the size to 96px.
Duplicate the new text and move it 6px to the right of the original text. One last time, change the color to #c31b17 and the blending mode to Exclusion.
Change the spacing of the letter 'T' in 'Typography' and the small text to 5% to make the font look neater.
Well done, you've just finished your inspirational background. Feel free to change it to your style.
